Sitters Association

The Sitters Association set up the Sitters Academy in order to provide help and support & opportuntities for learning to members.

With a growing number of courses, free & paid, coupled with a large number of accreditation and recognition services, the Sitters Association recognise that not everyone has the opportunities to gain the skills and experience to be a Professional Sitter, & helps members turn their passion into a vocation.

Sitters know that they can enjoy wonderful opportunities to visit places near and far, exploring areas normally only seen by locals. Professional sitters can earn a respectable financial compensation for the disruption of being away from home, taking on the responsibilities of someone else’s household, pets, or even yachts, caravans, or even stately homes & unusual properties.

The more knowledge & skills gained, backed up by accreditation, the greater the peace of mind that can be given to a prospective client, & the better a service can be offered.

While sitting, beyond servicing the recognised responsibilities & providing the right supervision, time can be spent on reading, relaxing, or runnning a remote business. Sitting can be the best way to help create the necessary cashflow while progressing a new venture.

Offering a range of free, and subsidised courses, members can learn what it takes to be a sitter, gain specialist skills in everything from breed specific knowledge to veterinary care, to cleaning tips & more, as well as access to accreditation, & even discounted screening, security accreditation courses & much more.
