Many people love to travel, visit new places, and enjoy changes of scenery. Imagine being paid to do this, in exchange for the simple responsibility of sitting.

Whether house sitting, pet sitting, or something else, it is important to build a solid foundation of trust, and demonstrate capability.

Be part of something bigger

Created to govern the somewhat unpoliced world of sitters, the Sitters Association is an advisory body designed to provide standards & to sitters, and promote the importance of professional quality sitting.

All of our members agree to follow the strict guidelines for sitting, carry out Sitters Association approved training, & support the sitting industry as a professional service.

For organisations, the Sitters Association acts to provide clear standards for businesses, employers, and brokering agencies to follow, to help bring peace of mind and higher expectations to an otherwise lawless industry.

The Cost of Rogue Sitters

Rogue sitters cost clients many millions each year, with failing to turn up, causing missed holidays or special occasions, in addition to the unmeasurable cost of providing a substandard service by sitter, such as if abandoning pets for hours or even days on end, just to go on travels of their own.

In an industry filled with horror stories, it is important to introduce clear standards and expectations, and offer accreditations and membership only to those who offer professional sitting at the highest standard, while making membership affordable in an industry that is frequently undervalued.

With the ability to offer a professional sitting register, screening and referencing services, accreditation & training, and much more, Sitters Association provides a valued sitting supervisory service, while also setting clear standards by which our members operate.

Local Focus. International Presence

Sitters Association have direct access to a range of assistance services, such as mediation services, legislation, accredited training providers, insurance brokers and underwriters, and more.
Although based from the UK, our members in other locations, such as the USA and Europe benefit accessing our documented best practice standards for helping guarantee the quality, integrity and reliability of our members.

Owner of TrustedSit.com - House & Pet Sitting Agency

As a pet sitter, Carol enjoys new places, new experiences, and enjoys getting paid for it too!

Professional sitting is about providing a valued service that benefits everyone.

The responsibilities of a pet sitter, include minimising disruption by maintaining routines, while also providing supervision for pets, as well as offering protection for the home through living in.

And it is critically important to provide peace of mind while away, and make sure that when they return, that the home is a nicer than when they left. After all, who wants to come home to more work because a sitter has been there.
